Flom Hall Kitchen Renovation/Addition Project
The entire community has been working over the last few years to raise funds to renovate the kitchen at the Flom Hall. The current facility is severely lacking space and the kitchen equipment if desperately in need of repair/upgrades. Do to the large number of events held at the facility by organizations throughout the greater communities, weddings, anniversaries, etc., it is a project that will benefit the entire community. The annual 4- wheeler raffle held during Flom Farm Fest each year, is an ongoing fundraiser for this project. If anyone would like to make a donation or support these efforts in any way, please contact Christina @ 567-8160 or send donations to Flom Community Club (with a notation that it is for the Kitchen Project) to PO Box 303, Flom MN 56541.
New Playground Equipment and Upgrades
In 2009, thanks to generous support from the Norman Co. POD grant, Flom Community Club donation, and Flom & Area Lions donation, new playground equipment was installed at the park in Flom. The existing equipment was also refurbished, stained, and relocated. The bleachers and picnic tables were also repainted by the help of Lions and Community Club volunteers. Thank you to all those that played a part in making this all happen! You are very much appreciated!
The Flom Sign
In 2009, the Flom Community Club raised monies to purchase two signs that decorate both ends of town. Thank you to all that donated and supported this project!!
New Roads in Flom
In 2008, The Flom Township Board worked diligently with the Norman County Highway Department to secure newly paved roads both N/S and E/W in Flom. The road was also re-elevated to elimate much of the blind approaches on the roads coming into Flom. Also, the road going E/W past the Flom Hall was paved. The road was also widened.
